    RCS Characteristics
The RCS(Recovered Carbon Source) is developed based on by-products which were produced from the fine chemical process. It is consisted of methanol and low grade fatty acids and can be used as an alternative carbon source.
  • When it is compared with commercial methanol as an external carbon source, it is cost effective and not regulated by the fire service law. It is easy to handle and the image of the Wastewater Treatment Plant can be enhanced due to resource recycle.
  • Since it contains alkalinity the chemical cost can be saved further by supplemental addition of the alkalinity source.
  • The types of RCS include RCS 5, 10, 15, 45, and 75 depending on their compositions. The contents of heavy metals in the RCS meet the class “Na” of the effluent discharge guideline.
